Rin Saengthong

Arunwadee "Rin" Saengthong grew up above her parents' small flower stall in Chiang Mai's Warorot Market, where she learned to wrap jasmine garlands before she could ride a bike. She moved to Bangkok at eighteen to study communication arts and joined the university theatre club on a dare, then stayed for four years. Her breakout came at 23, playing Ajarn Mai, a young literature lecturer in a GL drama about two women who fall for each other through notes left in library books. Fans fell for the way she acts with pauses rather than lines. Off set she shoots on an old film camera, writes thank-you cards by hand, and orders her iced Thai tea with half the sugar.
